Software translation

With software localization we pay special attention to the characteristics of this type of work:

- Fluency. We do not simply translate strings one after another. We localize them taking into account their position and context with regard to the other strings, and visual and acoustic signals of the programme.

- Consistency in terminology. All programmes must be consistent in their terminology and this extends to the whole the job: the application, the help file and printed documents. We take care of the type or types of terminology you want (your own, Microsoft, Linux, etc.).

- Size and appearance. We take care of making sure the strings adapt to the menus and spaces in the programme taking into account restrictions on the number of characters allowed. Specialised programmes are required for this, programmes which can show the final appearance of the programme as and when the strings are translated.

- Where the product will be distributed. Of course it is extremely important to take into account where the product will be distributed.
It is possible, for example, that there are already other similar solutions whose terminology should be used as a reference in the interests of greater convenience for the user.
